Swimming is our life. As such, we strive to help and guide effectively each and every committed swimmer fully realize and maximize their athletic and academic potential through advanced, structured guidance and coaching, complemented by overall support throughout.
Mission
Hellenic Aquatics’ aim and dedicated mission is to provide effective guidance and opportunities for talented and committed swimmers to further develop their Educational background in parallel to their proven athletic abilities. The target is to lay the best possible, tailor-made foundation specifically for swimmers to be eligible, apply and get accepted by respectable tertiary educational institutions abroad that provide competitive swimming opportunities as well. The ultimate objective of Hellenic Aquatics is to positively impact the development of swimmers both in terms of athletics and academics in a harmonious, equally-balanced way for their best benefit.
Objective
Hellenic Aquatics is an organization dedicated to provide effective guidance in combining Athletics and Academics in the best possible way; specifically targeted towards Greek swimmers mainly aged 14-18 who would like to pursue a tertiary education abroad while remaining committed to their passion, swimming. Our aim is to help each and every one of them explore and effectively succeed to secure swimming and/or academic opportunities worldwide through merit and/or need-based funding.
Rationale
The idea of establishing Hellenic Aquatics was born a few years ago but recently became a necessity. The main reason is the continuously increasing need for promising and committed mainly junior swimmers from Greece to seek an improved academic and athletic environment abroad and, more specifically, in tertiary institutions in the US. The best way to accomplish that is to analyze, organize, manage and guide everything from A to Z, including related aspects in that context over time. This is very important, considering certain swimmers with promising potential whose families are not aware about available opportunities and, if they are, they do not know how to pursue them.
Attributes
What makes Hellenic Aquatics different and effective are the following points:
- Specializes only in Swimming. This enables the organization to focus on this area in particular.
- Strives to combine academics and athletics in the best possible way, following the motto: “A sound mind in a healthy body”; through personal experience of the administrative staff
- Associates all tasks, actions and processes with professional individuals and organizations, providing specialized feedback and assistance on every level of the Academic and swimming sectors.
- Comprehends an in-depth knowledge of US College Swimming, and soon to expand into other regions worldwide; and is constantly updated, revised and renewed with related developments.
