College Week® of Swimming 2026 – Bulgaria & Balkans

Hellenic Aquatics® and MAX College Sports® in partnership with Sandanski Swimming Club, are proud to host for the first time the award-winning College Week® of Swimming in Bulgaria – an unparalleled event designed to elevate the future of student-athletes aspiring to compete at the collegiate level.
This immersive program brings together elite swimmers, college coaches, and industry professionals in a dynamic, week-long experience that blends high-performance training, recruitment opportunities, and personal development.

Why is it important?

  • This event gives participants the opportunity to learn more about the services of MAX College Sports®, and explore athletic and academic scholarships in US Universities.
  • At the end of the week, every swimmer receives a recommendation letter and overall feedback report from Coach Jesse Moore, which is added to our members’ profiles and boosts their recruiting chances.

Overview of the Event

Date: August 28th – September 3rd, 2026
Location: Sandanski, Bulgaria
Participants:
    • High school swimmers born 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013
    • College-bound athletes
    • Aspiring student-athletes

The College Week® of Swimming is an intensive training and recruitment event designed to:

🏊 Improve swimming technique and performance through cutting-edge training sessions.
👨‍🎓 Provide exclusive access to college coaches and recruitment guidance.
📊 Offer seminars on balancing academics and athletics, and gaining important knowledge around their favorite sport.
🚀 Foster connections among athletes and swimming professionals from around the nation.

Key Features of College Week® of Swimming

1. High-Performance Training Clinics

Participants will engage in daily training sessions led by Coach Jesse Moore and a professional support staff. These clinics will focus on:

🏊‍♀️ Technique refinement for all strokes: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly.
⏳ Start and turn optimization to improve race efficiency.
🏆 Race strategy development for short and long-distance events.
💪 Strength and conditioning programs tailored for swimmers.

 

2. Educational Seminars

Each day features seminars that cover crucial topics for aspiring collegiate athletes:

This event is not just about swimming—it’s about building lifelong connections. Athletes will:

The overall program will follow a weekly schedule as like it would in a US University.

About Coach Jesse Moore

After winning a Division I National Championship with Cal Berkeley in March 2023, Coach Jesse Moore announced his retirement from collegiate swimming. He now serves as the Technical Director and Head Coach of a subgroup at the Olympic Training Center in Hubei, China.

Over an illustrious 15-year collegiate coaching career, he worked with premier programs such as Duke, Dartmouth, and the University of Minnesota. A former U.S. National Team Coach, he has guided Olympians, National Champions, and 96 All-Americans, helping shape not only elite athletes but also some of the most remarkable and well-rounded individuals in the sport.

Drawing on his deep expertise and professional certifications, Coach Jesse Moore has expanded his work beyond the pool. He now mentors aspiring student-athletes and their families through the NCAA recruiting process, and serves as a certified professional coach to both individuals and corporations worldwide.

About Coach Tony Spyrov

Coach Anton (Tony) Spirov is a long-time coach with Sandanski Swimming Club in Bulgaria, where he has developed multiple national-level age-group swimmers and guided athletes who went on to join Bulgaria’s extended national team. A dedicated technician and mentor, he remains active in the sport as a masters butterfly competitor and frequently collaborates with international swim camps and college-prep programs to connect young swimmers with global opportunities. He has experience in Ice Swimming at the 2023 event in Samoëns, France, as the coach of the 500 m freestyle World Record holder, Radostin Krastev.

Coaches can be part of this too!

Coaches will have the opportunity to observe and learn from Coach Jesse’s practices and track their athletes’ progress throughout the week.
The cost of attendance is 100€ + 24% VAT and a mandatory deposit of 50€ is required. Travel & accommodation not included.

Deposit must be submitted by January 31st, 2026. Final pay-off must be deposited by March 15th, 2026.
