Iliana OIKONOMOU commits to University of Miami

Hellenic Aquatics is proud to announce the commitment of its member Iliana OIKONOMOU to the University of Miami. She is scheduled to be admitted in its Academic Programs for the Fall 2016 Semester and will be also incorporated immediately to the Women’s Swimming Roster.

Iliana stated: “Being a member of Hellenic Aquatics I had the opportunity to get the exposure that I would have not been able to have under any other circumstances. Furthermore, Hellenic Aquatics identified the best options for me and helped me to prepare accordingly with all requirements and related processes from A to Z. Based on all that my selection criteria was enhanced and helped me to decide to join the University of Miami with coach KERSHAW and his Swimming Program. I strongly believe that this choice of mine is the best balance between Academics and Swimming. I am very eager to reach Miami in a few months and join the University and its Swimming Team.”

According to various publicly available sources and its Website postings, the University of Miami is among the top US Universities Academically and Athletically as well. It is located in Coral Gables that is close to Miami’s Central and Touristic Areas. The University’s Head Swimming Coach Andrew KERSHAW served also as Head Manager of US Swimming (National Swimming Teams – Kazan, London, Shanghai, Irvine, Manchester, etc.).
